Dr. Steven Hale, orthopaedic surgeon, was installed as President of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association at their 2024 Annual Meeting in New Orleans in March.
Center for Orthopaedics Welcomes Dr. Michael Garitty
Orthopaedic surgeon Michael Garitty, MD, has joined the medical staff of the Center for Orthopaedics.
Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Garitty earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed an Internship in General Surgery and an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency with Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina. He continued his surgical specialization training by completing an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Garitty has a special interest in joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee, joint revision surgery, and trauma surgery.
